After living in Salt Lake City for the past 11 years, I began a new adventure in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the end of August, 2008.
Before Salt Lake City, I spent several years living in Springfield, Illinois, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a couple of short stops in Decatur, Illinois.
Recent adventures outside the US include a trip to South Africa and Swaziland in March, 2008; my current residence in Russia, a short visit to Tallinn, Estonia, and a trip to the Philippines in January/February, 2009.
Interests include: music (listening/playing/singing), reading, movies/tv, mountain biking, cycling, hiking, photography (scenic/people/art), and following some sports (Go Jazz, Broncos, Cardinals, and Utes!)
Favorite destinations in the United States include: Colorado (Denver/Colorado Springs/the Rockies), Oregon (Portland and the coast), California (a variety of So-Cal and No-Cal destinations and the Bay), Moab, Utah (Arches/Canyonlands National Parks), Bryce Canyon NP, Zion NP, and the limitless cycling, mountain biking, and hiking in the Wasatch Mountains near Salt Lake City.
Before the end of March, 2009, I will be making some choices about next year whether that means another year of teaching in St. Petersburg or something else. I am currently exploring lots of options and am grateful for the opportunity to do so.
